You know how tough it's been to get quality, reliable farrier service for your horses, no matter if their job is barrel racing, cutting, reining, trail riding, dressage, eventing or simply a backyard pet. You've had some bad experiences and you can't seem to find someone dedicated to the trade, let alone having great customer service. We're Kyle and Kristie Carlson and we own and operate Foundation Hoof Care Farrier Services. We've worked in the equine industry for 20 years and have been horse owners for a lot longer than that. We're really involved in the sport horse and pleasure horse community and we love horses. We take equine health very seriously, especially hoof health, so you can rest assured that we'll treat your horses as if they were part of our family herd.

We are proudly affiliated with the American Farrier Association (AFA), Equine Lameness Prevention Organization (E.L.P,O), American Association of Professional Farriers (AAPF/IAPF), Texas Professional Farrier Association (TPFA), and Southern Farrier Association (SFA).

  • Number and type of horses, and whether they need trimming, shoeing or both.
  • What are the horse's jobs - if applicable.
  • Your location, address and contact info.
  • Your willingness to establish a regular service schedule.
  • Will your horses 'stand' or are there any known behavioural issues?
  • I'll explain our pay rates and our expectations of payment types and schedule.
  • Payment schedules and even pre-paid program discounts are available for regular clients with a solid payment history.
  • Permission to humanely discipline, if required, to keep the animal and myself safe.
